CHC Update September 2, 2021

Please see the additional information provided this morning by CHC re: mask use. New information is in red.

Mask/Facial Covering Policy – Effective September 1, 2021

In consultation with the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH), and in conjunction with the Connecticut Rink Owners Association (CROA), and in conformance with Gov. Ned Lamont’s Executive Order No. 13A, the Connecticut Hockey Conference (CHC) hereby requires, effective September 1, 2021, that all individuals and participants inside facilities hosting CHC sanctioned events (including practices, scrimmages, and games) in the State of Connecticut, and inside facilities hosting events of CHC member programs must wear a mask or face covering at all times.

There is no option for mask exemption for any facility entrant.

For players and on-ice officials who are actually on the ice, a face shield that covers the entire face, including the nose and mouth, attaches to the player’s helmet, and is specifically manufactured for use with the player’s helmet, may be worn. This applies to the Game on CCM helmet mask and the Bauer Face Shield with Splash Guard attached.

Rink, Town, or Local Health Department policies or guidelines do not supersede this mandate.

“Individuals and participants” include all players, coaches, on-ice officials, off-ice officials (including scorekeepers and timekeepers), and spectators.

Failure to comply with this requirement may constitute a violation of Executive Order no. 13A and subject the violator to a fine, as provided in the executive order.

SEASON REGISTRATIONS OPEN

Registrations are now open for the Wolves' 2021-22 Mite House, Development, and Learn To Skate seasons.

Detailed information about each program can be found under the Register Online tab, along with session start dates and cost.

All skaters must have a 2021-22 USA Hockey number in order to register. Please go to usahockey.com to register for the upcoming season. You will be assigned a USAH #, which can then be used to register for the Wolves' program of choice.

House is a season long program and requires 1 registration. LTS and Development are both 6 week sessions that are signed up for session by session. All 3 programs skate every Saturday and Sunday morning at Veterans Rink.

September Mites is a pre-season Mite mini-camp for those interested in getting the rust off. It runs for 3 Saturdays in September and is intended for House and Development level skaters. It is not meant for those who have never been on the ice.

Please direct any questions to Jon Bankoff at jbankoff7@yahoo.com.
